International learners must secure a student permit to participate in academic, vocational, or training programs in the United States that extend beyond six months. This permit confirms their educational status and ensures that their information is accurately recorded within the U.S. academic database. Completing this process is essential for smooth post-graduation procedures and legal compliance, as students cannot pursue international programs without formal authorization granted through the required government registration steps.
The U.S. system offers significant support to registered international students, ranging from financial assistance opportunities to credit evaluation services and access to various academic benefits, ensuring their welfare and academic continuity throughout their study period.
Students who plan to participate in programs that require travel to the United States, such as credit transfer, student exchange modules, or semester-based academic requirements, must declare this at the time of admission. They must also confirm whether they intend to complete their studies on-campus in the United States or pursue the program entirely through a non-traditional learning route. Many distance-learning courses today include a mandatory three-month in-person component, though the duration varies from program to program.
In both cases, international students must obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to register their applications within the government database.
Please note that procedural requirements may differ depending on nationality, international regulations, and updates to U.S. educational policies. All such variations are administered by the US Higher Education Commission on Accreditation, which acts as the official body responsible for maintaining compliance with global academic standards.
Final admissions for the Immigration Program run from January to April 2021. Applications for this final intake are currently open. We strongly advise prospective participants to apply early to ensure authorization and timely course registration.
