The US Higher Education Commission on Accreditation operates through collaborative, hands-on engagement, supported by a team of skilled professionals who bring practical insight, thoughtful strategies, and broad academic expertise to every initiative.

(USHECA) Recognition Standards

Our regional delegations oversee the approval of program-specific accreditation standards, assign members to accrediting commissions, and distribute programs among qualified representatives. Each delegation is guided by a seasoned area director who concurrently leads the relevant accreditation commission.

• Maintains a functional and structured accreditation framework. A recognized accrediting agency demonstrates adherence to established policies and standards while sustaining organizational features that fulfill (USHECA) expectations.

• Provides clear evidence that standards, regulations, and procedures are consistently applied and enforced, ensuring institutions or programs meet defined academic quality benchmarks and achieve intended outcomes.

• Illustrates public accountability and transparency, including expectations for the performance of accrediting bodies, accredited institutions or programs, and participation in international activities.

• Encourages academic distinction and supports student achievement. Accreditation is fundamentally a measure of advancing and sustaining high-quality education.
